Here is an interesting single spun rayon. Slique has an incredible sheen and takes the dye in our hand dyed colors beautifully. We like it best when used as one strand of several in A, B, C rows, or when blended with another strand for a thicker yarn. I don't recommend Slique be knitted on its own except as one row amongst other yarns, as it has a tendency to snag. You may find that the strands tend to split, depending on your knitting style. Don't let any of the drawbacks deter you, however--you can see from the swatches below how incredibly gorgeous Slique is when used with other yarns, where the snags don't show. Slique is the component used with Kid Mohair for our glorious Kid Slique. Enjoy! |
