Layers Colors

A style of dyeing unique to Prism, Layers are complex colors that are dyed one at a time over one another. The result is non-pooling, non-striping, subtle overlays of color upon color, with both parents visible as well as every combination between the two.

Layers colors show equally well on animal and plant fibers. In our collections below, the original thirteen and Tropics colors are featured in Tencel® Tape, while the Gaia collection is shown in Symphony (wool). Each collection draws on the beauty of the natural world around us. Enjoy!
