Athena

  • Fiber: 80% cotton, 20% nylon
  • Put-up: 2oz / 76yds
  • Gauge: 14sts = 4" (#10 1/2)
Here is another intriguing yarn: the nylon is a light and lofty core, while the silky covering is all cotton. In other words, the mill has taken a knitted cotton tube and filled it with unspun nylon, producing a yarn that is round, springy and has remarkable yardage for a bulky yarn. Unlike knitted tubes that are empty, Athena does not fold as it is knitted, producing fabric with a soft cotton hand that has body, depth and excellent stitch definition. Great for any type of knitting.

Due to the popularity of the Anna Sui pattern in Vogue Knitting Spring 2013, Athena is only available in color 301 as featured.
